Yayoi is an award-winning, contemporary artist who paints, works in sculpture and installation, music, design, writing, and fashion. Her most common motif is dots, lots and lots of dots. “Since my childhood, I have always made works with polka dots. Earth, moon, sun and human beings all represent dots; a single particle among billions.” Yayoi has a dedicated museum, the Yayoi Kusama Museum in Tokyo, Japan.
